Sioux Falls designated hitter Mario Piña was instrumental in his team's 3-2 win over the Port Royal Disaster. Piña, who is tied for 4th in the 3AAA in triples with 2, went 3-4 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Red Pandas. Jim Unknown got credit for the save for Sioux Falls. It could have been a different outcome for Sioux Falls, had it not been for Chris Etheridge, the 23-year old shortstop . Etheridge contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Sioux Falls up, 3-2.
