Pitcher Roberto De La Cruz was sensational for the Salt Lake City Buzz in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters. De La Cruz received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Earning his 1st save for Salt Lake City was Ed Dodd. Salt Lake City has a mark of 7-13 after the win.

Carlton Reed, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in triples with 2, aided the Salt Lake City cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a triple and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Reed told reporters after the game.
