Wright 'Lights Out' in Boston Win
|
Bruce Wright never let the Athletic Club KC find their groove. Throughout the game, Wright, who is tied for 9th in the PL with a 2.32 ERA, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Patriots to a win. With the win, the Patriots have a record of 16-13.
Wright, who dominated for Boston, earned the victory to move to 4-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 11. Athletic Club KC batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
