Coyotes Take Tight Tilt
The Hamilton Coyotes got a stellar performance from pitcher Earl Brown, who handcuffed the Santa Barbara offense en route to a 4-2 win at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. Brown got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 4 over 8 innings. Brown allowed 2 earned runs. The loss lowers the record for Santa Barbara to 10-9.

Plainfield, Indiana-born Noel Wells came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st and the Coyotes trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to left-center to put Hamilton on top.

In postgame remarks, Wells said: "We put it together today and came out with the win -- that's the main thing."
