With first baseman Mike Cook leading the charge, the Brinkley Belugas defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 9-4, at Belugas Ballpark. Cook, who was drafted in the three round of the 2020 draft, went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The win takes Brinkley to 7-8.
The 24-year old catcher Noel Wells tried to rally his team in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Hamilton trailing 5-2, Wells hit a 2-run single. But that was all she wrote for Brinkley. "Wells had a nice at-bat," said manager Junior Benítez. "Otherwise, we had a shortage of hits when it counted."
