Bowties Sneak Past Piranhas, 3-2
|
Panama City pitcher Wayne Craig gave the Bowties all they could handle, but in the end, Buckhead left The Tank with a 3-2 win. Craig allowed 2 earned runs on 8 hits over 6.2 innings. Ricardo DePay closed it out for his 1st save. At 13-15, the Bowties find themselves in 6th place in the Division I.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Dave King hit a 2-2 fastball from Richard Sykes for a solo home run. It put Buckhead in front, 3-2.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Kerry Hofmeister, the Buckhead manager.
