Behind a solid performance from second baseman Mario Piña, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeated the Brinkley Belugas, 6-2. Piña was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Red Pandas. Taro Ohayashi closed it out for his 1st save. The loss drops Brinkley to 1-5.

Early in the game, designated hitter Jonathan Widdop had a solo home run for Sioux Falls. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Red Pandas on top, 1-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Widdop told the Sioux Falls Observer.
