The Wilmington Bay Hawks were defeated, 7-4, by the Hamilton Coyotes. Leading the charge for Hamilton was shortstop Monty Sharp. He went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Martin Bennett got credit for the save for Hamilton. It was his 3rd of the year. The Hamilton Coyotes keep rolling, raising their record to 3-1.

Sharp had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 1-1 cutter from Claudio Díaz, he banged a bases-clearing double to left, giving the Coyotes a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Sharp.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Hamilton manager Frank Phillips.
