The Seattle Aviators faced a tough opponent in Brooklyn pitcher John Kaufman, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ebbetts Field by a final score of 3-2. Kaufman went 8.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Ken Hinkle in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Powell Horne took the loss. Seattle is 6th in the Division III with a record of 12-10.

Jorge Mojica went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles for Seattle. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the 12th. That's when he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Powell Horne. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
