Montana beat Louisville, 5-4. The win in part was due to first baseman Qi-zhen Loong, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Guillermo Pérez got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.2 innings. Montana, now 5-11, is off to a slow start.
Dani Trejo was 1 for 3 with a walk for Montana. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 4-4, Trejo delivered for the Pandas. His run-scoring walk put Montana on top, 5-4.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Trejo.
