The Capital District Red Knights outlasted Juan Ríos and the Rocky Mountain Nuggets, 13-9. Ríos was impressive in the loss. The Rocky Mountain left fielder was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Miguel Toro picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Juan Carlos Herrera was tagged with the loss. The Capital District Red Knights, now 4-10, have not found much traction so far in 2025.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Danilo Mosca came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Rocky Mountain pitcher Juan Carlos Herrera, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Capital District on top, 10-9.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Capital District manager Corey Hughes.
