Bowties Win at D.C., 5-2
Buckhead beat D.C. at Washington Stadium, eking out a 5-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher António Castillo, who earned player of the game honors. In 5.1 innings, Castillo surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Kyle Buckman earned his 4th save in 5 tries.

Gregg Young helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to give Buckhead a 1-0 lead.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said D.C. manager Jonathan Gerth. "But we decided not to take it."

The Bowties improved to a lofty 9-13 mark.
