Late Rally by Flamingos Secures Win
The Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Capital District Red Knights, 9-3, in Third League action at Capital Grounds. Jeff Young received player of the game honors. The 5-year veteran was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Las Vegas Flamingos, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Chris McKinney drew 2 walks for Las Vegas. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. That's when he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Marlon Miller. It was his 7th RBI of the season.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Young.
