Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Northern Lions BC
The Hartford Whalers got a superb performance from pitcher Christian Patrick, but the Northern Lions BC still won the game, 3-2. Patrick was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 1-hit ball. Thunder Bay reliever Mauro Guerra picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Johnny Allen took the loss. With the loss, Hartford drops to 2-3.

Thunder Bay won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's when designated hitter David Smith hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Northern Lions BC fans to their feet.

"Feels good to get the job done," Smith said after the game.
