Multi-HR Game for Blair in 9-5 Win
|
Crowds lined up early in front of Louisville Park, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2025 Menard's Third League season. On the mound were Jon Briddon for the visiting Kingston Township Legion and Austin Stewart for the hometown Louisville BC. In a spirited contest, the Legion pulled out the win, defeating the BC by the score of 9-5. Earning player of the game honors was Christian Blair.
Pinellas Park, Florida-born Forrest McCooke came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded and the Legion trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Kingston Township on top.
"We take it day by day here," said McCooke, "and today was a good one for us."
