Grey Wolves Win in Glorious Fashion
With catcher Timmy Appeldoorn leading the charge, the Vancouver Grey Wolves defeated the Richardson City Thundercats, 5-4, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Appeldoorn went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Vancouver reliever Joshua Barnes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dave Reed took the loss. Losses have been rare for the Thundercats, who are now 16-5.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Gregg Wagner came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Richardson City pitcher Dave Reed, he hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Vancouver on top, 5-4.

"This place was electric at the end," Appeldoorn said.
