Hit Parade: Luna Pops 5 Hits Monday, July 29th, 2024 Fernando Luna really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at KC Academy Field, the Athletic Club KC Academy designated hitter blistered the Asheville Highlanders for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 12-2 victory. "Luna was too tough to get out today," the Highlanders skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Fernando Luna singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Octávio Ayaly in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Currently Luna is batting .275 with 6 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
