Plasenia Wins PAA Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 15th, 2024 Nelson Plasenia is respected by most Mercer Island Screaming Eagles fans for his no-frills style of play. The 26-year-old shortstop went about his business with vigor last week to grab the USPL Double A Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .450 average (9-for-20) with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Looking at his stats this year, Plasenia has compiled a .311 batting average, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 22 runs. He has played in 57 games and scored 33 runs. |
