Hits Galore: Pacheco Drills 5 Hits Monday, June 3rd, 2024 No matter what the Irving Blue Sox threw at him today, Ricardo Pacheco hit it. He easily handled Blue Sox pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Farmers to a 9-4 triumph at Farmers Field. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Irving skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Ricardo Pacheco hit a solo-shot off Jim Davis in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This season Pacheco is batting .337 with 4 home runs. His totals include 18 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
