SAA Player of the Week Named Monday, August 19th, 2024 23-year-old Andrés Chávez made a few Little Caesars headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 7 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .467 average. Chávez collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this season Chávez is hitting .307 with 21 home runs, 64 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 92 hits in 300 at-bats and a .431 OBP. |
