Un-four-gettable: van de Vlugt Hits for Cycle Thursday, July 4th, 2024 Tremont third baseman Menno van de Vlugt had a field day at Doubledays Stadium battering Vermont pitchers and hitting for the cycle. He sparked the Doubledays to a 15-4 triumph over the Lake Monsters by going 4-for-4 with 5 runs batted in and scoring 3 runs. Menno van de Vlugt hit a two-run home run off Bayram Tanaoglu in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit a two-run triple in the 7th. In this current campaign van de Vlugt is hitting at a .279 clip with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
