Tremont Captures Silver AAA Crown Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 The city of Tremont is buzzing tonight as their hometown club has captured a division title. The Tremont Doubledays officially laid claim to the Silver AAA crown today and wil now turn attention to preparing for a run at the franchise's 2nd SL AAA Championship. "We may have been pretty far ahead in the standings, but you never take anything for granted until it's official," said shortstop Joe Sutton. "I've seen too many strange things happen in baseball to ever assume the playoffs is a guarantee." But it now is in fact a guarantee for the club, which currently has a 60-33 record and has easily stood out as the class of the division this season. |
