Nicholls Torches Fighting Dachsunds for 5 Hits Saturday, July 20th, 2024 Vermont right fielder Bronson Nicholls put on quite a show at Dog Park in Ellenburg with a big 5-hit day in the 8-6 victory over the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 6.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Bronson Nicholls singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Nicholls currently has a .313 batting average with 66 hits, 5 homers, 34 RBIs, 35 runs scored and a .373 OBP. |
