Mayer Fires No-Hitter Against Sioux Falls Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 In a brilliant performance at Belugas Ballpark, Brinkley pitcher Jeff Mayer entered an elite group today by tossing a no-hitter against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Hurling a complete game he fanned 7 and walked 2 in the 4-0 victory. In the clubhouse, Mayer said, "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball. My guys made some nice plays behind me, too, and cut off several hits." So far this year Mayer has compiled a 4-5 record with a 5.40 ERA. |
