Parkinson and Taylor Fight, Suspended 15 Games Saturday, August 31st, 2024 It was quite a row yesterday at Ballpark of Wilmington. The Bay Hawks Phil Parkinson and the BC Millard Taylor backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Parkinson and Taylor were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 15-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. For the season Parkinson is hitting .242, batted in 43 runs with no home runs and 31 runs scored. Thus far this season, Taylor has worked 77 innings with 38 strikeouts en route to a 2-7 record and a 6.43 ERA. |
