Anderson Wins 3L Best Player Award Monday, September 2nd, 2024 The Player of the Week has been chosen by the Third League. The award went to Al Anderson, first baseman of the Hartford Whalers. In a sensational hitting performance, he wrecked league pitchers with a .474 average to win the honor. Anderson went 9-for-19 for the week, totaled 4 home runs and 17 RBIs and scored 5 times. This year Anderson has hit 26 home runs and posted a .291 batting average. |
