Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Friday, August 23rd, 2024 There was a mass free-for-all yesterday at Ballpark of Hartford. Both dugouts emptied when Hartford's Ray Merrill and Capital District's Marlon Miller scuffled with one another after some heated words. In an official statement today, the league commissioner suspended both parties for 2 games. Merrill is hitting .256 this season with 6 home runs, 42 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 66 hits in 258 at-bats. To date this year Miller has fashioned a 4.03 ERA over 22.1 innings with a 2-3 record. He has made 26 relief appearances with 22 strikeouts and 2 saves. |
