Chicago C Hoover Suspended Friday, July 5th, 2024 Christian Hoover, catcher for the Chicago Tula, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 2-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with South Beach. After being called out on strikes, Hoover stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Hoover told BNN today. Posting a .100 batting average to date, Hoover has no home runs and 1 RBIs. |
