Alfiche Sizzles -- Smokes Blaze for 5 Hits Thursday, July 4th, 2024 Jorge Alfiche had an answer for everything the South Beach Blaze threw him today in the Chicago 11-3 triumph at Ramblers Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Chicago first baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Alfiche said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Jorge Alfiche hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mark Sanders in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit a three-run triple in the 8th. So far this year Alfiche has hit .271 with 2 home runs, 22 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
