Escobar Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Monday, June 24th, 2024 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Andrés Escobar of the Yellowknife Dragonblood had a sensational game against Walla Walla at The Dragon Den. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-3 shellacking of the Walleye. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Andrés Escobar singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Octávio Fernández in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This year Escobar is hitting at a .368 pace with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. He has played in 16 games and scored 4 times. |
