Great Day for Killefer -- 5 Hits
Sunday, May 5th, 2024
Wade Killefer really did a number on the Black Cats in the South Beach 12-4 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Wade Killefer did just that today for the Blaze and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 21-year-old shortstop said after his record-setting performance. Wade Killefer doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
