"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said de Meij. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Guzzlers star told reporters. de Meij excelled with an impressive 8-5 record in 19 starts. In 137.1 innings he yielded 106 hits and 36 walks, while striking out 169 and compiling a fine 2.29 ERA. Ramiro García of the Put-In-Bay BC finished second in voting, while Raúl Gómez of the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 finished third. |
