August's Best Batter Announced Sunday, September 1st, 2024 For a rookie just breaking in, Gabriel Díaz certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the SA Batter of the Month award for August. The 20-year-old shortstop for the Galesburg Guzzlers hit .402 with 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 16 runs scored. For the season Díaz has produced 119 hits in 340 at-bats for a .350 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .395 clip. |
