Player of the Week Trophy to Vega Monday, June 10th, 2024 23-year-old Carlos Vega made a few Mt. Vernon headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .435 average. Vega collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This season Vega is hitting .309 with 30 hits, 4 home runs, 23 RBIs, scored 13 runs and played in 30 games. |
