3A Selects Ortíz July's Best Pitcher Thursday, August 1st, 2024 In July, José Ortíz tore through the M3L Single A like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 20 years old. The young Provo starter posted a 5-1 mark and an ERA of 2.18 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 41.1 innings he collected 42 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .199 average. In season stats Ortíz shows a 8-4 record in 18 games, 123 innings, 107 strikeouts and a 2.12 ERA. |
