Northern Virginia Ace Wins PL Gold Ball Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 The Northern Virginia Retrievers have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Javier Mora, this year's Premier League Gold Ball selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Mora compiled a 10-7 record in 25 starts, tallied 182 strikeouts in 157 innings and recorded a 2.29 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .194 batting average against him. Lúcio Sánchez of the Boston Patriots finished second in voting, while Vincent Hall of the Athletic Club KC finished third. |
