PAA Honors Springfield First Baseman Monday, August 21st, 2023 22-year-old Lee Charles made a few Springfield headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .478 average. Charles collected 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season Charles is batting .315 with 57 hits, 11 home runs, 33 RBIs, .383 OBP and has scored 31 runs. |
