Shooters Pitching Ravaged by Adams Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 No matter what the Springfield Shooters threw at him today, Brent Adams hit it. He easily handled Shooters pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Rapiers to a 13-12 triumph at Rapiers Ballpark. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Springfield skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Brent Adams singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, walked in the 11th and grounded out in the 13th. This year Adams has hit 3 home runs and posted a .301 batting average. |
