SAA Player of the Week Selected Monday, July 3rd, 2023 Gabriel Hernández seems to put youthful exuberance into every pitch he throws and last week he threw up numbers that even the oldest of veterans would look at with envy. That's why the 22-year-old hurler was chosen the USSL Double A Player of the Week Award. Hernández notched 2 wins for the Phoenix Hotspur Youth. He finished the week with 8 strikeouts and an ERA of 0.59 while holding the opposition to a .125 average. This year in 12 starts, Hernández has recorded 4 wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 78.1 innings, allowed 60 hits, struck out 68 and has a 2.76 ERA. |
