SAA's Best Player Named Monday, September 11th, 2023 Carlos Maldonado burst onto the USSL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie shortstop for Irving garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 20-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .667 (6-for-9) with no home runs and 3 RBIs last week. Looking at his season stats, Maldonado has compiled a .272 batting average and a .323 on-base percentage, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 46 runs. |
