Jelarde Wins SAA Honor Monday, August 28th, 2023 So far in his young career, Luis Jelarde has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Virginia Beach Deuces left fielder hit at a torrid .375 clip as he collected 6 hits in 16 at-bats, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. In his season totals Jelarde has 13 home runs and a .268 batting average. |
