No Hits for Wolf, Streak Ends at 22 Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 Chuck Wolf saw his 22-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Farmers 5-4 victory over Virginia Beach at Virginia Beach Grounds. The 24-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 2 at-bats by Deuces, but his Lancaster teammates produced enough offense to garner the win. Talking to reporters after the game, Wolf was upbeat. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit. How could you be unhappy after you have hit in 22 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. And I am really happy that we won another ballgame today. Life is good." For the year Wolf has hit .303 with 1 home run, 35 RBIs and scored 41 runs. |
