Week's Best Player Honored by SAA Monday, July 24th, 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USSL Double A, but last week Avon Barksdale of the Richland Rails reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Barksdale rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (7-for-14), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Barksdale has collected 63 hits for the Rails this year, 18 of them home runs. He has also netted 52 RBIs and scored 37 runs while batting .279. |
