García Injury Update Saturday, July 15th, 2023 Elmer García will have to wait a while longer. The Salem starting pitcher was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 9 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The injury has kept him off the field since 07/14/2023. Though García had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." This year García has recorded a 4-5 mark. In 14 starts he has fanned 70 batters in 73.1 innings with a 4.30 ERA. |
