SAAA Selects Matsuda June's Best Starter Saturday, July 1st, 2023 In June, Hidehira Matsuda tore through the USSL Triple A like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old. The young Vermont starter posted a 4-1 mark and an ERA of 2.23 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 36.1 innings he collected 21 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .235 average. On his stats sheet for the year Matsuda shows a 7-2 record, 9 starts, 68 innings, 38 strikeouts and a 1.99 ERA. |
