Phoenix Starter Named SAAA's Best Pitcher Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 Edgar Capello took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the USSL Triple A Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 24-year-old Hotspur Reserves starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 3-0 won-lost record in 6 starts. This month he fanned 25 batters in 28 innings and compiled a 1.93 ERA. In 18 starts this year Capello has posted 4 wins while suffering 6 losses. He has pitched 76.2 innings, allowed 83 hits, struck out 64 and has a 4.70 ERA. |
