Targaryens Aguirre Suspended 80 Games for Banned Substance Friday, September 29th, 2023 After his failed drug test was announced by the league, Royse City Targaryens reliever Roberto Aguirre immediately scheduled a press conference. "I made one mistake, and now I've tested positive," he told reporters. "It was just a bad decision I made one night, and now I'll face the consequences." The consequences are a 80-game suspension. Aguirre made clear that his suspension was not for using performance-enhancing drugs. "I don't go near that stuff," he said. Aguirre refused to identify the drug that led to his positive test. Thus far in his career Aguirre's numbers include 49 appearances, 4 victories, 2 defeats, 2 saves, 60.1 IP, 45 strikeouts and an ERA of 7.01. |
