Timber Hawks Chill Baker's Hot Streak Sunday, September 17th, 2023 Lady Luck was not on the side of Tom Baker or his teammates today at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Everything went the Augusta Timber Hawks way. They not only came away with a 9-5 victory, but also held Baker hitless in 5 at-bats to put an end to the center fielder's 22-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Baker said afterward. "But it'd be much easier to take right now if we had won." Looking at his present stats, Baker has compiled a .279 batting average in 102 games with a .333 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 58 runs. |
