Augusta-Bloomington Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, August 6th, 2023 Yesterday at Timber Hawks Ballpark Mark McClear and Ron O'Slattery got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Augusta Timber Hawks and Bloomington Longnecks. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that McClear and O'Slattery would be given 3-game suspensions for fighting. McClear is hitting .462 this year with no home runs and 4 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .533, no walks and scored 0 times. This season O'Slattery has compiled a 5-1 mark, 2.01 ERA and made 0 starts. |
