Horton of Port Royal Named Best Pitcher Thursday, October 5th, 2023 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2023 has been presented and the M3L Triple A winner is Artie Horton of Port Royal. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Horton. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Disaster star told reporters. Horton excelled with an impressive 15-2 record in 22 starts. In 154 innings he yielded 153 hits and 43 walks, while striking out 102 and compiling a fine 3.21 ERA. Victor Brey of the Scranton Supernovas finished second in voting, while Frank Bryant of the Scranton Supernovas finished third. |
